Ganesh Sinus Congestion Tea
Ganesha is the deity recognized as The Remover of Obstacles. He is easily recognized by his elephant head. All the the Ganesh Line teas remove obstacles like urinary tract infections, kidney stones, sinus infections and more.
Ingredients: Yarrow, Elder Flower, Peppermint, Elecampane
Peppermint – Cooling and muscle relaxing action on smooth muscles. A stimulating diaphoretic. Decongestant, helps to relieve surface congestion. Antiseptic, antispasmodic, mild sedative, used with elderflower often for fevers and colds. (Herbal Remedies by Andrew Chevelier)
Instructions:
Pour 1 quart of boiling water over 4 tsp of loose leaf tea. Allow it to steep for about 20 min. Drink a few cups a day or one every 30 min if severely congested.
Safety warnings:
Peppermint – not good for children under 5 (Herbal Remedies by Andrew Chevelier) Caution with people with gastroesophageal reflux or with hiatal hernia, may decrease esophageal sphincter pressure. Do not use with ulcers.
